OSHA Grants Permanent Variance to Five Employers for Hoisting Systems
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has granted a permanent variance to Calaveras Power Partners L.P., Matrix Service Inc., T.E. Ibberson Company, TIC--The Industrial Company, and Zachry Construction Corporation, allowing them to use alternative hoisting systems instead of complying with specific regulations regarding boatswain's chairs and personnel hoists.
