Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Housing Goals Adjusted for 2009

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has adopted a final rule adjusting the affordable housing goals for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for 2009, following a review of current market conditions and in accordance with the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (HERA). The adjusted goals will remain in effect for 2009, with the possibility of further adjustments as market conditions evolve.
