FCC Grants Request for Clarification on Internet-Based Captioned Telephone Service

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted a request for clarification on Internet Protocol (IP) captioned telephone relay service, a type of telecommunications relay service eligible for compensation from the Interstate TRS Fund, and has approved a proposal to compensate all IP CTS calls until jurisdiction separation of costs is adopted.
