FCC Extends Waiver for Video Relay Service Providers for Another Year

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has extended the waiver of emergency call handling requirements for Video Relay Service (VRS) providers for an additional year, citing ongoing technological challenges in determining the geographic location of TRS calls originating via the Internet. This waiver allows VRS providers to continue offering their services without the need to handle emergency calls in the same way as traditional phone services.
