FCC Seeks Comments on Licensing Vehicle-Mounted Earth Stations in Ku-band Frequencies

The Federal Communications Commission is seeking public comment on a proposal to license Vehicle-Mounted Earth Stations (VMES) in certain Ku-band frequencies, following a petition from General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, Inc. The proposal aims to allocate spectrum for VMES use in the Fixed-Satellite Service, with the goal of adopting rules similar to those for Ku-band Earth Stations on Vessels.
