FDA Publishes Draft Guidance on Developing Antimicrobial Drugs for COPD Patients

The FDA has released a draft guidance to help industry develop antimicrobial drugs for treating acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), in line with evolving agency recommendations and a statutory requirement enacted in 2007.
