Shell Oil Agrees to Pay $1.4 Million Fine for Oil Spill Under US Law

Royal Dutch Shell has agreed to pay a $1.4 million fine for violating the US Oil Pollution Act after a 2013 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, according to a consent decree filed with the US government.
