FTC Amends Textile Rules to Establish New Fiber Subclass Name 'Triexta'

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has amended the Textile Rules to establish a new generic fiber subclass name, 'triexta,' for fibers made from poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT). This change aims to provide clarity on the classification of these fibers within the existing definition of 'polyester'.
