U.S. Coast Guard Re-Opens Comment Period for Great Lakes Safety Zones

The U.S. Coast Guard is re-opening the comment period for its proposed rulemaking to establish permanent safety zones in the Great Lakes for live fire gun exercises, following public requests, in order to protect the public from potential hazards and ensure operational readiness of Coast Guard personnel and vessels.
