EPA Grants Exemption for Eucalyptus Oil on Honey and Honeycomb
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of eucalyptus oil on honey and honeycomb when applied at 2 g or less per hive to suppress varroa mites, following a petition from Brushy Mountain Bee farm under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) and the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA).
