US to Terminate Liberia's Temporary Protected Status Designation, Automatic Extension of Employment Authorization for Eligible Nationals

The US Department of Homeland Security has decided to terminate Liberia's temporary protected status (TPS) designation, effective October 1, 2007, to allow for a smooth transition. Eligible Liberian nationals and those with pending TPS applications will need to re-register for benefits, with a limited window for late initial filings.
