USDA Adopts New Assessment Rate for Washington Sweet Cherries

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule reducing the assessment rate for Washington sweet cherries from $0.75 to $0.50 per ton, effective for the 2006-2007 fiscal period and beyond, to fund the marketing program administered by the Washington Cherry Marketing Committee.
