Notice of Intent to Prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on Rock Mining in Wetlands in the Lake Belt Region of Miami-Dade County, FL

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Jacksonville District plans to prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) to assess the potential environmental impacts of rock mining in wetlands in western Miami-Dade County, Florida. This follows a 2006 court order that instructed the Corps to conduct further analyses of rock mining in the Lake Belt region.
