National Toxicology Program (NTP) Requests Public Comments on Pre-Screen Evaluation of Cell Proliferation Assay for Estrogenic Activity

The National Toxicology Program (NTP) Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Alternative Toxicological Methods (NICEATM) has released a pre-screen evaluation of a cell-based estrogen receptor test method, and is seeking public comments and nominations for other in vitro endocrine disruptor test methods. The evaluation was conducted in response to a nomination from CertiChem, Inc., and assesses the test method's alignment with ICCVAM prioritization criteria and recommendations for standardization and validation.
