NMFS Proposes Issuance of Exempted Fishing Permits for Northeastern U.S. Fisheries

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Northeast Region, NMFS, has made a preliminary determination that two commercial fishing vessels can conduct restricted fishing operations under an exempted fishing permit (EFP) application, which aligns with the goals of the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan.
