FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Turbomeca Arriel 2B Turboshaft Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive requiring visually inspecting the splines of high-pressure pump drive gear shaft and coupling shaft assembly in Turbomeca Arriel 2B, 2B1, and 2B1A turboshaft engines to prevent uncommanded in-flight shutdowns.
