FAA Approves St. Lucie County International Airport Noise Compatibility Program

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved the St. Lucie County International Airport noise compatibility program, following a review of the program's compliance with federal regulations, as outlined in the Aviation Safety and Noise Abatement Act and Senate Report No. 96-52 (1980). The program, submitted by the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners, was approved on August 21, 2006, with most of its recommendations being accepted.
