EPA Approves Tennessee's Second 10-Year Carbon Monoxide Maintenance Plan
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the Tennessee State Implementation Plan (SIP) that includes a new 10-year maintenance plan for reducing carbon monoxide emissions in the Memphis/Shelby County area. The plan, which was submitted in 2006, sets a new emissions budget for 2017 and is considered noncontroversial, so the EPA is approving it as a direct final rule without prior public comment.
