California Pistachio Committee Lowers Assessment Rate to $0.0007 per Pound

The Administrative Committee for Pistachios has decreased the assessment rate for pistachio growers in California from $0.0014 to $0.0007 per pound, effective for the 2006-07 and subsequent production years, in an effort to reduce the monetary reserve and ensure compliance with marketing order regulations.
