CMS Proposes Changes to National Claims History System to Simplify CMS Identification Numbers and Broaden Routine Use Disclosures

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is proposing modifications to the National Claims History (NCH) system, which will assign a new CMS identification number to simplify the existing system and broaden routine use disclosures to combat fraud and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
