CMS Proposes Changes to Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities Patient Assessment Instrument System

The US Department of Health and Human Services is proposing to modify the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) system, used to collect data on Medicare patients receiving rehabilitation services, to simplify its identification number and improve data management.
