Department of the Navy Announces Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Relocation of Walter Reed Army Medical Center

The Department of the Navy is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement to assess the potential environmental impacts of relocating Walter Reed Army Medical Center activities from Washington, D.C. to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, as mandated by the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Act of 1990.
