EPA Announces Availability of Chloropicrin Risk Assessments and Opens Public Comment Period

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has made available human health and environmental fate and effects risk assessments and related documents for the pesticide chloropicrin, and is now accepting public comments on these documents as part of a 6-phase process to re-register the chemical. The EPA is also evaluating the risks of five other soil fumigant pesticides to ensure consistency in its assessment approaches and to predict risk management decisions.
