Federal Transit Administration Proposes Changes to Buy America Requirements

The Federal Transit Administration is proposing new rules to update the Buy America requirements, which were mandated by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). The proposed changes include a new process for public interest waivers, clarifications on microprocessor waivers, and updates to the definition of end products and debarment provisions.
