FRA to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Portal Bridge Improvements

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is collaborating with New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ TRANSIT) and Amtrak to develop an environmental impact statement (EIS) for upgrades to the Portal Bridge, a critical rail crossing over the Hackensack River along the Northeast Corridor, between Kearny, NJ and Secaucus, NJ.
