US Fish and Wildlife Service Announces 90-Day Findings on Petitions to Remove or List Cacti Species

The US Fish and Wildlife Service has made two 90-day findings under the Endangered Species Act, one concerning the removal of the Uinta Basin hookless cactus from the list of endangered plants and the other listing the Pariette cactus as threatened or endangered. The service has decided not to initiate a further status review for the Uinta Basin hookless cactus but will conduct a 5-year review to determine its status following recent taxonomic revisions.
