EPA Agrees to Respond to Clean Air Act Petitions in Proposed Consent Decree

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has agreed to respond to petitions filed by Sierra Club and Coosa River Basin Initiative by January 8, 2007, as part of a proposed consent decree addressing a deadline suit filed by the two groups, which had objected to Clean Air Act permit amendments for steam generating plants in Georgia.
