Volvo Trucks North America, Inc. Seeks Exemption from Federal Commercial Driver's License Requirement for Testing Purposes

Volvo Trucks North America, Inc. has submitted a request to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for an exemption to allow three Swedish engineers to drive commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in the United States without holding a commercial driver's license (CDL), in order to conduct field tests on future air-quality standards and evaluate the performance of Volvo vehicles in real-world environments.
