FTA Releases Final Policy on Classification of HOV/HOT Lanes for Funding Formulas

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has released a final policy statement outlining the conditions under which High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes converted to High-Occupancy/Toll (HOT) lanes will be classified as 'fixed guideway miles' for FTA's funding formulas. The policy also specifies when HOT lanes will not be classified as fixed guideway miles.
