NMFS Proposes Endangered Status for North Pacific Right Whale

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has completed a status review of the North Pacific right whale under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and proposes to list it as an endangered species, following a petition submitted by the Center for Biological Diversity in 2005.
