USDA Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Tripod Fire Salvage Project in Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forests

The USDA Forest Service will analyze a proposal to recover economic value from salvage harvesting of dead trees damaged in the Tripod Complex Fire, remove hazard trees from roads, and reforest salvage areas in the Methow Valley and Tonasket Ranger Districts, covering approximately 2,800 acres in the Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forests.
