US Implements Amendment 16-4 to Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has finalized a rule implementing Amendment 16-4 to the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan, setting harvest specifications and management measures for groundfish off the coasts of Washington, Oregon, and California for the 2007-2008 fishing season. The changes aim to rebuild overfished species, reduce bycatch and discard, and provide opportunities for recreational and commercial fishing sectors.
