Tennessee Valley Authority Seeks NRC Approval to Increase Power at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has submitted a request to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to increase the maximum power level at its Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN) in Alabama, with the goal of boosting thermal power by 15-20% at Units 2 and 3, and 20% at Unit 1, from their current levels of 3458 MWt, 3293 MWt, and 3293 MWt, respectively.
