Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves Revised Spent Fuel Storage Cask Regulations

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has amended its regulations for spent fuel storage casks, including the Transnuclear TN-68 dry storage cask system, to increase fuel burnup, decay heat, and fuel enrichment, and to allow for damaged fuel assemblies and reduced cask spacing.
