NRC Approves PPL Susquehanna's Power Increase Proposal

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has released a Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for PPL Susquehanna, LLC's request to increase the maximum thermal power at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2, from 3,489 MWt to 3,952 MWt, a 13% increase. The NRC staff has determined that this power increase will not have a significant impact on the human environment, and a 30-day public comment period is now open.
