FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 737-300, -400, and -500 Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Boeing Model 737-300, -400, and -500 series airplanes, requiring repetitive inspections for cracking of the crown area of the fuselage skin and corrective actions if necessary. The directive aims to detect and correct fatigue cracking of the fuselage skin, which could lead to rapid decompression of the airplane.
