USPTO Reminds Applicants of Foreign Filing License Export Limitations

The USPTO cautions applicants and registered patent practitioners that exporting subject matter abroad under a foreign filing license is restricted to filing foreign patent applications, and those considering exporting for US patent application preparation should contact the BIS at the Department of Commerce for necessary clearances.
