FDA Approves Glycerol Ester of Tall Oil Rosin for Food Use

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its regulations to allow the safe use of glycerol ester of tall oil rosin (GETOR) in food products, particularly to adjust citrus oil density in beverages, and to permit steam stripping as a purification method for rosin-based products.
