FDA Proposes Removal of Essential-Use Designation for Epinephrine in Oral Pressurized Metered-Dose Inhalers

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to amend its regulation on the use of ozone-depleting substances in self-pressurized containers to remove the essential-use designation for epinephrine used in oral pressurized metered-dose inhalers (MDIs), allowing for the development of ODS-free formulations.
