US Customs and Border Protection to Mandate Electronic Transmission of Passenger and Crew Manifests for Vessels and Aircraft
The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection is amending its regulations to require the electronic transmission of passenger and crew manifest information for commercial vessels and aircraft arriving in or departing from the US, as well as for flights that overfly the country. This change aims to enhance aviation and vessel safety, national security, and customs enforcement.
