Pipeline Safety Advisory: Potential for Damage to Natural Gas Distribution Pipeline Facilities Caused by the Passage of Hurricane Katrina

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is warning natural gas distribution pipeline facility owners and operators about the potential for damage to their facilities due to Hurricane Katrina, which made landfall on August 29, 2005. PHMSA is issuing this advisory bulletin to inform facility owners and operators of this risk.
