Four Florida Home Builders Seek Incidental Take Permits for Scrub-Jay Habitat Destruction
Four developers, Eugene T. Butler, Carlos E. Gauthier, Robert Moren, and Kheino A. Phidd, have submitted applications for incidental take permits to the US government, seeking permission to destroy 1.03 acres of Florida scrub-jay habitat during the construction of single-family homes in Brevard County, Florida. The permits, which would last one year for three applicants and 10 years for one, are required under the Endangered Species Act of 1973.
