USDA Proposes Revisions to Globe Artichoke Standards

The USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service is seeking public comments on a proposal to update the United States Standards for Grades of Globe Artichokes, which would include a new U.S. No. 1 Long Stem grade with a 5% undersize tolerance and revised definitions for 'fairly compact' and 'slightly spread' artichokes.
