EPA Approves Iowa's State Implementation Plan for Air Pollution Guidelines

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the state of Iowa's revised State Implementation Plan (SIP), which sets guidelines for identifying stationary sources of air pollution that may be subject to Best Available Retrofit Technology (BART) emission control requirements. The plan requires owners and operators of eligible sources to submit information on their facilities and emission units by September 1, 2005, and to report annual emission totals in tons-per-year for specific pollutants.
