The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced the inpatient hospital deductible and hospital and extended care services coinsurance amounts for services furnished in calendar year 2006 under Medicare's Hospital Insurance program. For CY 2006, Medicare beneficiaries will pay a deductible of $952 and coinsurance rates of $238 per day for days 61-90, $476 per day for lifetime reserve days, and $119 per day for extended care services days 21-100.
