EPA Publishes Annual Adjustment Factors for Acid Rain Program Excess Emission Penalty

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published annual adjustment factors for the Acid Rain Program, which will affect the penalty for excess sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions. The new factors, effective for compliance years 2006, increase the penalty to $3042 per excess ton of emissions.
