NMFS Rejects Petition to Save North Atlantic Right Whale from Extinction

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has denied a petition from a coalition of conservation groups to establish emergency regulations to protect the North Atlantic Right Whale from extinction, citing that the species is not currently at risk.
