HUD Publishes Final Fair Market Rents for FY2006, Excluding 50th Percentile Rent Levels

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released the final Fair Market Rents (FMRs) for Fiscal Year 2006, which will affect payment standards for the Housing Choice Voucher program and initial rents for the Moderate Rehabilitation Single Room Occupancy program. The FMRs, effective October 1, 2006, reflect estimated 40th and 50th percentile rent levels trended to April 1, 2006, but do not include final determinations on 50th percentile rent levels, which will be announced separately.
