Missouri State Approves Most of Revised Sulfur Compound Emissions Rule, Disapproves Others
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has partially approved and partially disapproved a State Implementation Plan (SIP) submission by the state of Missouri, which revises the Restriction of Emission of Sulfur Compounds rule. The EPA approved most of the revisions, citing improvements to the current rule, while disapproving two source-specific references due to concerns over their impact on short-term sulfur dioxide air quality standards.
