USDA Proposes Rule to Reduce Beef Assessment Levels

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has proposed a rule to lower the assessment levels for imported beef and beef products, aligning with changes in the Harmonized Tariff System numbers and categories used by the US Customs and Border Protection (USCBP), as part of the Beef Promotion and Research Order established under the 1985 Beef Promotion and Research Act.
